We asked delegates at the recent Big Data Analytics and MapR Convergence events in London, about their progress with implementing Big Data in their organisations.
Among their concerns are absence of top management sponsorship, limited budgets and insufficient skill sets. From the discussions we had, it seems that in most cases IT teams fail to translate technical advantages into compelling business benefits that will in turn help release the necessary commitment and investment from the top management.
